was born in Overwharton, Oxfordshire, England. He married Margaret Cox. The couple had a son. Robert Meese, born in Oxfordshire, England in 1580.

Robert Meese Jr., born in 1580 in Overwharton,  England died in 1620  in London, London England. He married Mercye Brend, daughter of Nicholas Brend (a son of Thomas Brend, b 1516 ). Nicholas was born 1561 in West Moulsey, Surry County, England, and his wife,was Margaret Stalley. Robert and Mercye had a son, Henry Meese, born in Oxfordshire, England in 1628.

Henry Meese was born in Overwharton Parish, Oxfordshire, England in 1628, a son of Robert Meese and Mercye Brend.  Henry married first, Mary ___, a Princess of the Potomacs. She was born before 1640 in Patawomeck, (later Virginia), and died in Virginia.  Mary Wahanganoche was the daughter of Wahanganoche, Chief Of The Potowomeck.  They had a daughter, Grace Meese born about 1648 and died 9 September 1677 in Prince William County, Virginia. This couple also had other children: Anne, John, Henry, and Frances. Henry died in 1682 in London, England.

Wahanganoche was also called, Whipsewasson, Whipsewacan, or Whipsawasons. The area in which they lived was called, Passapatanzy. Wahanganoche was born about 1564 in what is now Caroline County, Virginia. He died about 1666 in Caroline County, Virginia under mysterious  circumstances. His father was Japasaw, born about 1516; his mother was Paupauwiske.
