Thomas Alderson was born in Greenbriar County, Virginia. We do not know the name of his wife. His son Davis was born in Monroe County, Virginia.

Davis Alderson was born in Monroe County, Virginia and married Catharine Thrasher born in Botetourt County, Virginia. Their son was George Washington Alderson.

George Washington Alderson was born 07 January 1820 in Union, Monroe County, Virginia. He married 24 December 1840 Washington County, Virginia, Lydia Patterson , born 12 December 1824 Washington County, Virginia and died 1 April 1866 Washington County, Virginia, was the daughter of Andrew Patterson and Elizabeth Cole.
