Georg Lindemuth his wife, Modleen (Mary Magdalene) Blessing moved from Shenendoah County Virginia with his daughter, Cathrine and her husband Michael Fry in the fall of 1837. We think Georg and his brother Johann, (see Lindamoods of Virginia) changed their surnames to Lindamood sometime after their father died. See entry below by Susan McConnell . According to Marvin Lindemuth in, THE LINDENMUTH FAMILY IN AMERICA, pulished in 1998, this family changed the name to LINDAMOOD when they moved from Berks County, Pennsylvania to Shenendoah County, Virginia in 1752.

Jacob Blessing's daughter, Modleen (Mary Magdalene) Blessing, married George H(enry) Lindamood, the son of 'Thunder George Henry Lindamood. They stayed in Shenandoah County, Virginia until the Fall of 1837, when they removed with their daughter, Catharine and her husband, Michael Fry to property purchased for them in Greene County, Ohio by Blessing family members, who'd already settled in the area; John circa 1805 and Lewis in 1822. Unfortunately, the trip was too much for George Henry, age 77, who died at Christmas, 25 December 1837, shortly after they arrived. Susan McConnell
