The Cliftons Of Washington County, VA
The Cliftons of Washington County, Virginia - about 1920
This picture was given to me several years ago by a cousin, Georgie Kestner of Abingdon, VA. The man being hugged is my grandfather, Claude Granville Clifton. The man standing on the wagon wheel is my great grandfather, James E. Clifton. Everyone I have talked to in the family thinks this is possibly, a picture of all the Clifton men living in the area at that time. The older man in front is my great great grandfather, Elias C. Clifton.
