John Robert "Jack" Clifton |
|||||
| The lineage of this branch of the Cliftons pre-dates 1170 AD. At this time the first name I have is at the link on my Clifton page going to Clifton line #1 the information dealing with the ancestors in the Clifton line of John Clifton who married Nancy Jones and in this dissertation, John Robert "Jack" Clifton, their son. The first name I have is Osbert of Lancashire, England. Anyone interested in John Robert "Jack" needs to follow this line from Osbert of Lancashire down to John Clifton 1,2 born 20 February 1758 at Stafford County, Virginia. He married about 1793 to Nancy Jones, daughter of John and Judith Jones of Halifax County, North Carolina. |
