Neale's Mullins

William Mullins was born about 1704 in Middlesex County, Virginia.  On February 9, 1724 he married Kathryn Smyth daughter of possibly Ambrose Smyth.  William and Kathryn's children are John H. Mullins, Agnes Mullins, Mary Mullins, Joshua Mullins, James Mullins and William Mullins.  William Mullins died 2 September 1734, Hanover County, St. Martin's Parish,Virginia. William appears in King William County, Virginia, Virginia Record Book 2, page 4, in 1721. Kathryn was born between 1682-1700 Hanover County, Virginia and died abt 1734 in Hanover County, Virginia.

William Mullins was born about 1720 in Virginia, he married Elizabeth born abt. 1725 in Virginia.  William died about 1791 in Franklin County, Virginia.
William and Elizabeth's children are: John "Buttin John" Mullins born abt 1750 in Virginia and died 1849 in Clintwood, Russell County, Virginia, Ambrose Mullins born abt 1758 in Virginia and died abt 1835 in Russell County, Virginia, Nancy Mullins born about 1750in Virginia, Booker Mullins, Sr. born about 1768 in Virginia and died in Wise County, Virginia, and William Mullins, Jr. born about 1751 in Virginia and died before 19 August 1840 in Franklin County, Virginia.

William Mullins, Jr. was born about 1751 in Virginia and died abt August 19, 1840 in Franklin  County, Virginia.  He married Jane Stanley, daughter of William and Judith Stanley.  William and Jane's children are: John "Chunky" Mullins born about 1770 in Virginia and died 1847 in Shelby Creek, Pike County, Kentucky; Susannah Mullins born about 1776 in Henry County, Virginia; Booker Mullins born about 1778 in Henry County, Virginia and died before 01 April 1867 in Franklin County, Virginia; Mary Mullins born about 1770 in Virginia; Nehemiah Mullins born about 1782 in Virginia; Ollie Mullins, born about 1784 in Franklin County, Virginia and died 11 December 1871 in Wise County, Virginia; Doria Mullins born about 1785 in Virginia; Jesse Mullins born about 1786 in Virginia; William B.H. "Bald Head" Mullins born about 1784 Patrick County, Virginia and Nancy Mullins born about 1786 in Virginia.  William Mullins assumed the title "Sr" after his father died, and he remained in Franklin County, Virginia.

John "Chunky" Mullins was born about 1770 in Virginia and died 1847 in Shelby Creek, Pike County, Kentucky.  He married Elizabeth Mullins born about 1794 in North Carolina.  John and Elizabeth's children are: William "Chunky Bill" Mullins, born 1796 in North Carolina, he married Temperance Blayblock 6 June 1792; John Henry "Jack" Mullins born about 1795 in North Carolina; Alice Mullins born 1800 in North Carolina; Polly Mullins born about 1800 in North Carolina; ?Male Mullins born about 1804 in Burke County, North Carolina; Elizabeth (?) Mullins born about 1800 in Burke County, North Carolina; Sanders Mullins born about 1811 Floyd County, Kentucky; Letty Mullins born 1827 in Pike County, Kentucky and Nancy Mullins born about 1823 in Pike County, Kentucky. 

William "Chunky Bill" Mullins born 1796 in North Carolina and married 06 June 1792 Temperance Blayblock daughter of John Blayblock of Dee River,  North Carolina and was a soldier in the Revolutionary War.  "Chunky Bill" and Temperance's were the parents of John S. Mullins.

John S. Mullins was born 1808 and died 31 August 1830 in Pike County, Kentucky. He was a reverend and in the court records there are lots of young folks he married.  He married Ollie Short daughter of Benjamin and Elizabeth Stanley the daughter of Joseph Stanley and his second wife Sarah Kitchen.  Benjamin was the son of William Short and Elizabeth Bolling.  John and Ollie's children are: Nancy Mullins born 1732 Russell County, Virginia; John Mullins, Jr.  born 1836; Alice Mullins born 1837; Olley Mullins born 1840 in Kentucky; Elizabeth Mullins born 1843 in Pike County, Kentucky; William Mullins born 21 February 1849 in Wyoming County, VA; Mary Polly Mullins born 1851 Wyoming County, Virginia; Rebecca Ann Mullins born 1854; Samuel Mullins born 1860; Lucy J. Mullins born 1866. 

Elizabeth Mullins was born 1843 in Pike County, Kentucky and married Hiram Clay 21 July 1863 in Wyoming County, West Virginia.  Hiram was the son of Henry J. Clay and Mary (Polly) Anderson.  Hiram died 24 August 1892 at Rock Castle, Wyoming County, West Virginia.  Elizabeth and Hiram's children are:  Gordon M. Clay; Caz Clay; Levi Martin Clay; Emily Clay; John Will Clay; Albert Harrison Clay; James H. Clay; George W. Clay; Mary Clay; Andrew J. Clay; Benjamin Harvey Clay; and Lucy Alice Clay. 

Lucy Alice Clay was born 15 August 1882 in Pineville, Wyoming County, West Virginia and died 23 December 1960 in Portsmouth, Virginia.  Lucy married William Thomas Farley born 9 March 1879 in Pineville, Wyoming County, West Virginia, William died  10 March 1965 in Portsmouth, Virginia.
Lucy and Tom Farley had three girls: Volga, Glattrus and Edowa.

Volga Farley was born 16 June 1915 in Welch, McDowell County, West Virginia.  She died 6 November 1965 in Portsmouth, Virginia.  Volga married Buford Clifton,  born 24 May 1913 in Greendale, Washington County, Virginia. They had one son: Lassister Neale Clifton

Lassister Neale Clifton was born  in Welch, McDowell County, West Virginia.  He was married 13 September 1956 to Katherine Carol Williams, born  in Orlando, Orange County, Florida.  Neale and Kathy have two children:  Lassister Neale Clifton, Jr. and Debra Lynn Clifton. and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
