4 September 2011	The Bryan family consisted of three names, de_Brienne, de Bryan, and Bryan and connects with the Carolingians, the dynasty which produced Charlemagne, or Charles the Great. The Bryans connect with the St. Johns which connect with the Cliftons, though Nuni St. John. This Clifton page shows both of my Clifton families. We have other family connections (Clifton and Farley) to Charlemagne as well which you have probably noticed. This is not unusual. I think most everyone with European connections is related to Charlemagne.
